TEX

I met Tex while photographing cowboys for an ad campaign, 45 of them doing their branding with 1200 cattle on a beautiful farm in northern California. We spend three days together, sleeping outside on a campfire, as cowboys still do. Tex is 86 years old and still on the horse doing what he loves most.  He is a rare breed of real good character combined with a wicked sense of humor. Some say, you know he likes you when he makes rude jokes about you. Well he must have loved me that weekend then.  I still don’t know what his real name is.
